My banner presentation with Senator Amy Klobuchar

Over the past few years, I've had the pleasure of speaking to the senator at events in MN about our dad's and their prostate cancer experiences, as well as meeting with her and staff members during my years of advocacy work in Washington D.C.-urging support for increased federal funding for research and education.
I am so grateful for the time the senator spent with me and my family, as I know there is much work to be done while in session here in Minnesota!

My parents-Mike and Linda Smith, Willie, Drake, Jasmine and me with Sen. Klobuchar.

JDRF & Go Red For Women events

This is my 5th year supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-Walk To Cure Diabetes event.  Jasmine and I have both reached our fund-raising goals and are grateful for your support and well wishes!
We will be lacing up our sneakers for a wonderful morning, supporting all children who suffer from this disease, and their families.

As a member of the American Heart Association Speaker's Bureau, our mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That single purpose drives all we do. The need for our work is beyond question.

I led a "Know Your Heart" informational session at my workplace in support of our Go Red For Women-"TELL 5. SAVE LIVES." initiative.
All 5 women officially joined the GRFW Movement, taking a valuable step towards learning about their personal heart health.

Reaching Our Men In Uniform

I had a wonderful time at the Brooklyn Park Fire Department!  This was my first time in a fire house and am grateful to have had an opportunity to share my "Early Detection" message.

Having grown up in Ramsey County, it was great to return "home" and spread some prostate cancer/early detection awareness.  I am thankful for the warm welcome by the department, and Sheriff Eric Bradt for braving the cold to pose for this photo!

"Thank you"-Moundsview Police Department for allowing me to share my story and vital information!
