Minnesota Cancer Summit 2011

I represented our MN Prostate Cancer Coalition at this year's state Cancer Summit.
The Summit offered a terrific opportunity to familiarize myself with new initiatives within MN, as well as catch-up with and meet new members of the Prostate Cancer community.
Cindy Iverson, is my colleague with the Zero-The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge/Dash For Dad Race Management Team.
Zero is proudly hosting two Prostate Cancer races in MN this year-adding a race in St. Cloud in September, along with our annual Twin Cities race-scheduled for August 6th!
This addition is so exciting, as it shows Prostate Cancer is receiving more awareness and state-wide exposure.  These are important, fun and symbolic community events to educate Minnesotans about this disease, remember those who have lost their battle with Prostate Cancer, and support and honor those who continue their fight to survive.

It was a pleasure to meet Lou Harvin, American Cancer Society-Media Relations Specialist, a former KSTP-TV channel 5 television reporer.  I look forward to working with him in the near future, in conjunction with my work and partnership with the ACS!
