Hosting an America's Sunday Supper

Dr. King envisioned a “beloved community” where brotherhood is a reality that does not allow poverty, hunger and homelessness to exist. Points of Light invites you to gather together with your community to discuss Dr. King's work and message, which impacted many aspects of our society and is more pertinent today than ever before. On January 16, 2012 people from diverse backgrounds in towns across the nation will come together to watch a documentary film, share a meal, discuss issues such as hunger, poverty and homelessness that American families and veterans are facing today and take action.

I am so excited to host a wonderful supper with friends, family and new acquaintances, to share a meal and view a documentary to inspire meaningful conversation focused on community involvement.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate Dr. King's Birthday!
