Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service 2012- January 16th

What is the MLK Day of Service?

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'"

Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities.

The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President's national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.

National Day of Service is one of my most anticipated holiday's.  I look forward to not only celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. King, but to honor my belief of helping others through volunteering.
Use this day as a way to renew your commitment within your community, embrace the opportunity to step outside of yourself and do something to positively impact others; serve your community today-Keep The Dream Alive!
